This spring, GCI helped Canada’s smallest province make a big impact during a four-day consumer event in downtown Calgary.

As part of the PR initiative, GCI created themed interactive Rejuvenation Stations in different locations throughout the city. Each station provided Calgarians with a taste of some truly unique PEI vacation activities including beach, golf, cuisine and culture.

Calgarians were also given a Passport to PEI which they could have stamped at each Rejuvenation Station, and then use to enter into a contest to win a free trip to PEI.

The campaign was a huge success! Overall, GCI Canada generated 44 media hits, including, Breakfast Television Calgary, CBC National, CTV and Global News Calgary, The Calgary Sun, California 103 FM, The Calgary Herald, The Guardian and a Canadian Press story which ran in 22 different outlets. The campaign garnered 11 million impressions and 10,000 consumer inquires to the PEI website.
