Eva Stanciu is a strategy-focused finance professional who brings 12 years of financial and business management experience to GCI Group. She drives client business through innovative thinking, strong business acumen and a commitment to financial analytics.
An entrepreneurial executive, Stanciu thrives in environments of change, growth and complexity. As financial manager at Publicis, one of the world's largest communication agencies, Stanciu was responsible for the financial mandate of the company's largest client, HP. Following HP's merger with Compaq, she was instrumental in implementing robust financial processes, overseeing multi-million dollar budgets, and building a process and team to handle the new financial mandate of the unified company. At Publicis, she was also part of a senior executive team that lead the fundraising initiative for Bloor Street Entertains, a highly successful charitable fundraiser supporting the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR).
Most recently, Eva oversaw the financial operations of Avid Life Media, a network of targeted niche brands, partnering with the company's' presidents to drive and grow a $14 million operation. Earlier in her career, she acted as senior financial analyst at BBDO, working closely with such high profile brands as RBC, FedEx, Pepsi, Cara Foods, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Government Services.
Eva holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in finance and accounting from York University, and has Certified Management Accountant training. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and children.
